Radical activism and queerness exist hand in hand; revolutionary practice is the cornerstone of our communities.

Trans women have historically been at the front of this movement, but our involvement is often washed away by the liberal cleanse of radical history. Through radical action, trans women have redefined femininity for queer and non-queer women not only in the west, but in the entire world.

Being trans in the colonial sphere is inherently radical and puts a target on your back. We all saw the treatment of Chelsea Manning in the media. People like her deserve to be revered as heroes. Martyrs. Prophets of a better future for trans and gender diverse people, through radical action that doesn't always directly pertain to queerness.

Vigil In Infrared (2022) was a performance-based artwork that aimed to redefine our narrative as a heroic one. To convey feelings of dysphoria, making way for clarity in identity and purpose. Trans femininity and radical power are one in the same; no trans liberation without workers liberation.

The audience is blasted with Imagery of the feminine form, old and new, real and sculpted & the blurred lines of the divine feminine. What does it mean to blur those lines and do radical work as someone who lives outside of societies borders?
